Baby Gervanni, Lemonade series:
This series was Mom’s (Dretta) idea. Baby Gervanni’s 1st birthday was coming up. Mom had a great idea to have a “Lemonade Stand” birthday party. I asked Mom to send over some reference photos that captured a theme for Vanni’s shoot. With an idea, we decided to brainstorm adorable ways sit Vanni in piles of lemons! This set us up on a mission in search for something to sit or lay her in. We then decided a vintage metal bucket would be perfect! I thought to myself “Where the HELL am I going to find a old metal bucket?” I then called Ky and explained the party theme. We both decided it would be so cute to do it outside of the studio with natural lighting. LOCATION [X}. We drove to a few different thrift stores looking for a bucket…a BUCKET… After two hours of driving to different stores, Ky wanted to stop at Michael’s to pick up supplies for other projects we were working on. I thought to myself “Michael’s duhhhhh…. Why didn’t we think of that in the first place?” We go inside and there were BUCKETS EVERYWHERE….so then I ended up walking out with buckets in all shapes and sizes... Moral of the story: Michael’s has metal buckets in all shapes and sizes. Thank me later!
