TRUE STORY. Ky and I were randomly thrift shopping for a shoot we had coming up (the gothic series). Ky thought we should shop Buffalo Exchange, which I was excited about because I hadn't been inside of this store since I lived in LA. I was so wrapped up in the aura of the store and the vibes for a second that I forgot I was shopping for models! I was beyond caught up in the store and the unique style of it’s shoppers. I remember looking for glasses and then all of a sudden, I hear Ky compliment someone from across the store. I never looked over because my face was stuck in the mirror looking at the unique glasses I would never have the guts to wear out in public. Ky began to get annoyed yelling “Can we PLEASE check out now!”. I looked up and there you have it, Dream Adai. Her and Ky were both staring at me laughing at how oblivious I was of my surroundings. I finally gathered what I was actually there to purchase and approached the counter where Dream and Ky were impatiently waiting. Dream asked if I was ready to check out and I subconsciously responded, “Wow you’re so cute and dope. What do you do?” She was looking all shy and said “I’m an artist.” I instantly said “LETS SHOOT! I love your style.” She smiled and asked “Really?” Ky was thinking “Did she really just question her pure dopeness like that?” I gave her my card, her assistant reached out, and the rest was history… Moral of the Story: Buffalo Exchange not only has dope hidden gems in clothing, but also dope hidden gems of people. I found that like minded creative people just so happen work there too. Thank me later!
